Dr. T. Kannan, an eminent scholar, teacher, researcher and administrator has put in more than 20 years of experience in technical education.  He has published more than 100 research papers in Journals and Conferences. He is a life member of Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering, Indian Society for Technical Education, Indian Institute of Welding, and Indian Welding Society. In appreciation of his work to the society, he was awarded the ‘Shri. P. K. Das Memorial Best Faculty Award 2009-2010’ by Nehru College of Educational and Charitable Trust, Coimbatore, and ‘Cognizant – Kumaraguru College of Technology Best Faculty Award - 2008’ by Cognizant Technology Solutions.
